MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES AROUND THE KANDY💖

Kandy is very beautiful city which is situated in central province ,Sri Lanka. In this city there are many beautiful places to travel . As you know Kandy is known as one of the most tourism attraction cities in sri Lanka.

As my opinion these beautiful places are the reason for tourism attraction..

TEMPLE OF THE TOOTH RELIC

2.LAKE ROUND OF KANDY

The shady path surrounding the Kandy lake provides a view of the hills and the town. The spectacular lake was created in 1807 by the last Sinhalese King. It is situated by the side of the Temple of the tooth relic.

3.BAHIRAWA KANDA TEMPLE

Bahirawakanda temple is Buddhist temple which is situated in Bahirawakanda hill. There is a big white statue of buddha in there. Height of that statue is 88 feet from the top of the hill...so it can be easily seen from everywhere in Kandy city.

4.HANTHANA MOUNTAIN RANGE

The Hanthana Mountain Range lies in central Sri Lanka, south-west of the city of Kandy. It was declared as an environmental protection area in February 2010 under the National Environment Act. The maximum height of the range is 3800 ft. The mountain range consists of seven peaks. The highest one being the Uura Kanda.

5. NELLIGALA TEMPLE

Nelligala Temple located in the village of Murutalawa, 700 km above sea level, 11 km from Kandy town and 7 km from Peradeniya town. Nelligala temple which was started in the year 2015 is a temple situated on the top of the Nelligala rock which is surrounded by the Alagalla, Hanthana, Hunnasgiriya, Batalegala and Atipala mountain ranges.

6.VIEW POINT

The highest point in Kandy, it is an absolutely breathtaking spot which gives a high angle view of the magnificent city, Kandy .View point is one of the most beautiful places in Kandy.

7.POLGOLLA DAM

The Polgolla Dam (also known as the Polgolla Barrage), is a barrage built across the mahawali river at Polgolla. also there is a walking path in here.
